Arts for the Schools

Arts For The Schools is a bi-state 501 (c)3 non-profit that fundamentally believes that access and exposure to the arts is essential for all. Arts For The Schools fills the gaps in visual and performing arts education for more than 10,000 children at K-12 schools AND provides access to artistic excellence for the public. For 32 years Arts For The Schools has encouraged children and adults to create, perform, learn, lead, understand and discover.

They have some exciting performances coming for our 2016-17 onSTAGE public performance series, such as Fémina, an Argentinian trio of singer-songwriters. Come move to their music Friday, 10/7 at the Truckee Community Arts Center! We are also bringing Versa-Style Dance Co. back to Truckee for an encore performance of culturally infused hip-hop moves and grooves. Don’t miss them on Friday, 2/17 at Truckee High School Theater. We also are proud to be bringing The Second City on 3/3, the comedy troupe that began the careers of Bill Murray, Tina Fey, and hundreds more of your favorite comedians.
