TTL’s MARKETING & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Philanthropic Mission Statement:
At Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company, we believe passionately in supporting a variety of non-profit and charitable benefit organizations in the communities we serve. Assisting our local non-profit neighbors builds stronger, resilient, and more vibrant places for all of us to live and work.
Truckee Tahoe Lumber believes that business prospers in thriving communities and we are proud to give back and pay it forward.
BACKGROUND & GOALS OF OUR PROGRAM:
TTL has a long and storied history of giving back to our communities, having played a significant role in the establishment of many important non-profits in the Truckee/Tahoe areas, including but not limited to the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation (TTCF), the Contractor’s Association of Truckee Tahoe (CATT), the Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe (HSTT), High Fives Foundation, the Truckee Roundhouse Community Makerspace, and the Truckee Noon Rotary club.
At Truckee Tahoe Lumber, a significant portion of our Marketing budget is invested in charitable donations that align with our pillars/values and directly impact sales, leads, and build our brand reputation. By supporting local nonprofits, schools, and housing initiatives, we build trust with key decision-makers, earn loyalty from contractors and builders, and deepen relationships that convert into long-term business.
At Truckee Tahoe Lumber, we sponsor high-visibility events and local sports teams to strengthen community ties and elevate brand awareness. These partnerships put our name front and center where our customers live, work, and play—on jerseys, banners, and at well-attended events. We focus on meaningful, grassroots visibility that builds emotional connection and trust.
Supporting regional professional sports and regional events aligns our brand with shared values and hometown pride. These sponsorships aren’t just about logos—they’re about presence, relationships, and showing up for our community in ways that matter. It’s visibility with purpose, and it leaves a lasting impression.
Over the last 94 years, we have donated well over 5 million dollars to our local communities by giving and supporting sports teams, charities, and community groups.

WHAT TTL’s SUPPORT MEANS
I cannot stress enough how much the donation means to our department. The cost savings allows us to purchase other needed training items for the academy, drastically expanding our training capabilities.
-Darin Barry, Training Captain Sparks Fire Department
TTL was one of the first corporations to donate to our non profit that helped us launch our first ever official cleanup project on Donner Lake. Since then, they have been a reliable partner, allowing us to be sure we can do important projects in the region and have a giving partner we can count on.
Giving and supporting our community are synonymous with the TTL brand: TTL and its employees are ingrained in the very fiber of our town.
-Colin West, CEO Clean Up the Lake
“TTL makes our program work by donating lumber for our shed builds every year. These shed builds allow the students to gain real hands on experience in carpentry, construction, and layout. We couldn't exist without them. Please see the below testimonials from my admin.

We are incredibly grateful for Truckee Tahoe Lumber's early and continued investment in a creative space for our community to come together to build, explore, invent, and connect.
For eight years, we have provided a shared community space designed for creativity and innovation, where diverse generations, genders, professions, military veterans, and cultures can come together to make things with their own hands.
The support from Truckee Tahoe Lumber allows us to keep our services affordable for our partners, workforce, students, and seniors. Together, we elevate the quality of life in the Greater Tahoe community in terms of the arts, education, improved mental health outcomes, and vocational exposure.
The legacy a space like the Truckee Roundhouse creates for our region is no small thing. By providing accessible resources for all members of our community to cultivate their artistic and inventive talents, we become a more resilient and connected place to live and thrive.
-Karyn Stanley, Executive Director

"Annual support from TTL has helped put on local community based fundraising events, and the funding (fiscal and in-kind) has helped us build a state of the art, one of a kind facility in the area that provides free workouts to the community we serve.
Our Veterans program is generously supported with fiscal support and volunteer opportunities, our program Military to Mountains serves veterans in 10 week programs, that provide 9 weeks of physical / mental work outs and then 1 week of ski / snowboarding.
TTL's support means everything to High Fives, to be honest. The stamp of approval that the association comes with is the biggest and best."
-Roy Tuscany, CEO

The relationship between CATT and TTL began over 26 years ago when Andrew’s father, Breeze, helped found CATT while serving as Mayor of Truckee.
TTL has supported CATT with industry knowledge, professional development, and leadership, with their CEOs serving as Board Treasurer and employees active on committees and fundraising efforts.
TTL is key to connecting CATT with regional and national suppliers, securing funding, and providing critical market insights and regulatory updates that guide CATT’s government advocacy.
TTL’s support helps CATT meet event goals, strengthen fundraising, and maintain strong industry ties, with leaders like their CEO and Purchasing Manager serving on the Board and committees such as our main annual fundraisers (golf tournaments).
-Edward Vento/Executive Director

For over 4 decades TTL has been available to help the Truckee Noon Rotary Club and our community when needed by lending trucks for parade floats or moving supplies, donating materials, supplies & expertise when needed to help a float for a parade, a booth for a fundraising event, or heavily donating money.
This support helps us raise funds for the seniors & kids in our community. We all use TTL for their superior quality, excellent service & reasonable prices.

Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company has supported Arts For The Schools | Fox Cultural Hall almost since our founding in 1984.
Truckee Tahoe Lumber has had a significant impact on local arts education for public school students. Our organization Fox Cultural Hall partners with all 22 public, charter and private schools in the North Lake Tahoe region.
This year in our 2024-25 fiscal year, TTL supported the Performing Arts Education program that provides performances and workshops with cultural performing artists for K-12 schools to promote cultural learning.
The program serves 5,000 students each year including 2,000 low-income students. Funding from the TTL Co helped us to expand the reach of the Performing Arts program, and build performing arts community classes and performances for students, at our new cultural hall.
Our family construction business, McEneaney Construction, is longtime client of Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company for our building needs. We utilize Truckee Tahoe Lumber Company for the competitive pricing, experienced sales team, and to reciprocate the generous charitable giving TTL Co has provided to the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe communities. TTL Co has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to community non-profits every year, and has had such a huge impact on local needs such as education, arts, and leadership in the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe.

ruckee Tahoe Lumber Co. plays a vital role in supporting the Building Trades in Construction programs at McQueen, Wooster, and Sparks High Schools in the Washoe County School District.
Through generous donations of high-quality building materials, they provide a level of support that goes beyond what the district alone can offer. These contributions enable students to take on more advanced and ambitious construction and woodworking projects—experiences that are critical for skill development and career readiness.
-Matt Mackay
Tahoe Truckee Lumber Company has been the foundation for our students at McQueen High School to have a true hands on experience working on construction projects. The material supplied by Tahoe Truckee Lumber Company teaches our students life skills that can’t be duplicated by just reading about it in a book. Their generosity helps develop the builders of tomorrow.
