RETURN policy.
TRUCKEE TAHOE LUMBER
RETURN POLICY
We understand that plans change and sometimes material needs to be returned. Our goal is to make the return process fair and straightforward while accounting for the handling and costs associated with processing returned material.
STOCK MATERIAL RETURNS
Stock material may be returned for credit provided it is in clean, unused, undamaged, and re-sellable condition.
All returned material is subject to inspection before credit is issued.
Material that has been cut, altered, installed, painted, stained, weathered, damaged, or otherwise rendered unsellable may not be eligible for return.
Stock material should generally be returned within 30 days of purchase. Returns outside 30 days may be accepted at management's discretion and may be subject to additional restocking charges.
RESTOCKING CHARGES
A restocking charge may apply to returned material depending on the quantity, condition, handling required, and resellability of the material.
Restocking charges are intended to offset a portion of the costs associated with processing returns, which may include:
Pickup or unloading
Inspection and sorting
Re-bundling or repackaging
Returning material to inventory
Administrative processing
We use reasonable judgment when assessing restocking charges. Small, clean, immediately resellable stock returns requiring minimal handling may not be subject to a restocking charge.
JOBSITE PICKUPS & LARGE RETURNS
Large quantity returns, jobsite pickups, excess material from completed projects, and returns requiring significant sorting or handling are generally subject to a restocking charge.
Customers are encouraged to review quantities before ordering and throughout the course of a project to minimize excess material and unnecessary return costs.
SPECIAL ORDER & NON-STOCK MATERIAL
Special-order, custom, non-stock or discontinued material are not returnable.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE MATERIAL
Please inspect material promptly upon receipt.
Damaged, defective, or unusable material delivered by Truckee Tahoe Lumber should be reported within 3 days of delivery whenever possible so we can promptly investigate and resolve the issue.
Claims made after this period will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If you believe material was delivered damaged or defective, please contact the salesperson who handled your order before returning or disposing of the material.
CREDIT
Approved returns will be credited to the original customer account or original method of payment, as applicable.
Original delivery charges are generally non-refundable.
OUR GOAL
Our return policy is designed to be fair to our customers while recognizing the real costs associated with processing returned building materials.
We appreciate your help in keeping returned material clean, organized, and resellable and in communicating with us promptly when there is a problem with an order.
Truckee Tahoe Lumber reserves the right to determine return eligibility and applicable restocking charges based on the circumstances of each return.
